Caring Cupboard

The Caring Cupboard is a program that was started in 2016 by Katie Gagnon. The program started at Mastricola Elementary School where Katie’s son was a student. Through her time volunteering, she saw there was a need for teachers and staff to have access to food for students who, for a multitude of reasons, otherwise didn’t have it.

The program was set-up and has been sustained through community donations. After joining the LWF board in 2017, Katie was able to grow the program to four of Merrimack’s six schools. LWF makes sizable donations to the Cupboards every spring and fall and their goal is to grow the program throughout the district.
