2020 Year In-Review

What a year 2020 has been for everyone! We had to cancel some of our favorite events due to safety reasons, but we were still very active behind the scenes this year. We have also been using the down time as time to make some exciting changes to Laura’s World Fund.

Concession Stand

Last year we introduced the project at Merrimack High School for the concession stand. We have continued to work on this project thru the year and have made great progress.  Tons of this project has been donated from labor to supplies! The stand will be amazing that many will be able to use.  It will include running water and electricity too!  We are hoping to break ground on this in April!

Scholarship Winner

The winner of our 2019-2020 scholarship was Grace Sullivan. Grace graduated in the top 10 of her class. She planned to attended Plymouth State college with a nursing major. We wish Grace the best in her future endeavors!

Caring Cupboard

This program is designed to make sure snacks for kiddos who need them, or simply forget them. Three out of four Merrimack Elementary schools currently participate in the program. In January and again in September we were able to stock the schools with snacks.

Ethiopia

We have continued to support the Nic Robinson School in Mekele Ethiopia. We assist in funding a nutrition program for their students. Over the past years we have also contributed to a clean water project to ensure there is clean drinking water for many.

Keep Your Eyes Open!

We have some fun and exciting news heading your way! We have a new awesome new website coming! Also, we will be selling bricks for the walk way at the high school new concession stand. You will be able to personalize these with your family name, Sports number and graduation year. Start thinking about what you’d put on yours!

In closing, we would like to as always thank you all for your continued support, especially this year when many experienced their own hardships. Without generous donations from people like you, Laura’s World Fund wouldn’t be. Thank you! From the bottom of our hearts!

Happy Holidays and New Year from all of us!
